EPA Date

Monday July 14 from 10am-6pm. 

Equity members can e-mail auditions@1812productions.org to request a time slot.  Non-Equity members may show up the day of the audition and will be seen if there is time.

EPA Location

Auditions will be held at the 1812 Studio located at 2329 S. 3rd Street in Philadelphia.  The studio is located on the second floor of the old Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School.  There is a parking lot which is for parish use only but there is plenty of free on-street parking. 

 

EPA Preparation

Each actor will be asked to read a selection from the show and sing 16 bars of the pop song “Sometimes When We Touch”  Audition material, sheet music and accompaniment tracks are below.  There are LOW, MID and HIGH versions of Sometimes When We Touch for you to choose from and two sides to prepare. 

 

Video Submissions

Should actors not be available to come to in-person auditions, video submissions will be accepted.  Auditions should be e-mailed to auditions@1812productions.org no later than July 14, 2025 at 6pm.

 

Show Synopsis:  

This is the Week That Is is an original political humor variety show with music. Show is topical and changes nightly - improvisation and writing experience is a plus. 

 

Ensemble Description:

The cast is a diverse ensemble of actors of any race, gender or age. As the show responds to current events, many of the characters played will be determined by who is in the news at the time.  We are looking to add two new members to our ensemble this year, including the role of Lead News Anchor.  All roles are open to performers of any age, race or gender identity.
