Sincere Rock-and-roll Comedy, Whip-smart Political Satire,
Unexpected Holy Humor …and a couple of Nasty Women
Our 22nd season brings new faces, old favorites and plenty of opportunities for laughter with abandon.
Our commitment to our all-comedy mission has never been stronger and our need to come together and
laugh as a community has never been more necessary.
We kick things off with the American premiere of Tom Wells’ delightful and hilarious
Broken Biscuits about three teenagers ready to live their rock star dreams.
The holidays mean political humor here at 1812, and we’re sharpening
our pencils for our annual satire This Is The Week That Is.
We have a special two-week run of a new cabaret called Broads which celebrates the
naughty humor of bold women like Mae West, Sophie Tucker, Belle Barth,
Pearl Williams, Rusty Warren, Ruth Wallis, and Moms Mabley.
And our season closer, The God Project, is an 1812 original
created by myself and my fellow PK (Pastor’s Kid), Sean Close.
It’s a quirky new play with music about why we believe what we believe and
whether we still have the capacity for miracles.
I hope you will join us for a 22nd season full of music, outrageous impressions, the occasional dirty joke, and a whole lot of joy.
I look forward to seeing you in the theater!
